Born in the Dominican Republic and raised between the Dominican Republic and the Netherlands, Yina Menez has developed an artistic identity shaped by two cultures, two worlds, and one undeniable purpose. Influenced by the vibrant rhythms of the Caribbean and the diverse musical landscape of Europe, she has crafted a sound that effortlessly blends Latin Pop, Contemporary R&B, Afro-Latin, Bachata, Dembow, and traditional Dominican influences into music that feels both deeply personal and internationally relevant.
While many emerging artists focus on chasing trends, Yina has chosen a different path. Her music is built around truth, vulnerability, and emotional healing. Every lyric, every melody, and every performance is created with the intention of helping listeners process life’s challenges while rediscovering their strength. While each has influenced her appreciation for excellence and artistry, Yina has never set out to imitate anyone.
Instead, she has developed a signature style that combines soulful vocals, melodic rap, rich harmonies, Caribbean rhythms, and contemporary production into a sound uniquely her own.
Her versatility allows her to move naturally between heartfelt singing and confident rap performances, creating records that are emotionally engaging while remaining commercially appealing to audiences around the world. Today, Yina Menez enters an exciting new chapter in her career under the management of acclaimed music executive, songwriter, producer, and executive producer Luciano Layne. She is now officially represented by Layne and is developing her career under a joint partnership between ALPHA Recording Group, Universal Music Group, and Virgin Music Group.
Known for his artist development, creative direction, and executive leadership, Luciano Layne recognized not only Yina’s vocal ability but also the depth of her purpose and the global potential of her artistry. Together, they share a long-term vision of building a career rooted in excellence, authenticity, and cultural impact.
Currently, Yina is in the studio recording her highly anticipated debut single and debut EP, both written, produced, and executive produced by Luciano Layne. The forthcoming project promises to introduce audiences to an artist who refuses to be confined to one genre or one audience. Instead, listeners can expect an immersive musical experience that celebrates Dominican culture while embracing contemporary global sounds.
