THE EDITOR IN CHIEF
Emerald Neki is a fearless hip-hop and R&B artist, actress, and advocate whose story is rooted in strength, resilience, and undeniable talent. Her music and message have touched millions—and she's only just getting started.
She’s worked with major labels like Universal Music Group, Virgin Music, and EMG on the empowering single “Good Enough”, released the boss anthem “Run Up the Money” under Sony RED, and teamed up with Empire Music Group and Church Boy Music for the high-energy hit “In the Club”—a dynamic collaboration featuring her identical twin sister, Jade Kouture. Together, they bring a magnetic sisterhood energy to the mic that audiences can feel.
Emerald’s biggest breakout came through her own independent label, Queen Records, with the viral anthem “Autism Don’t Define Us.” Inspired by her twin daughters with autism, the song has become a movement—amassing 1.8 million views on Instagram, being shared over 100,000 times, featured on Shade 45 Sirius XM, and charting at #85 on the Top 100 Kids Chart in April. It also received support from Tia Kemp, the mother of Rick Ross’s children, who publicly shared the post.
The official music video is coming soon, continuing to uplift families and break barriers in the autism community.
In 2022, Emerald survived a major health crisis when a spinal infection from scoliosis hardware placed in 2009 nearly derailed her life. She underwent two major spine surgeries, having 12 screws and 9 rods removed from her back. Just a month later—with 26 stitches and a PICC line still in place—she took the stage at the Ohio Entertainment Awards, performing in front of 1,000 people. Her story is one of sheer willpower, perseverance, and purpose.
Emerald Neki is also lighting up the screen with a growing list of film credits. She starred in About Face, directed by Dru Scott, alongside Tubi stars Dejuan Ford and Chyna; landed a supporting lead role in Black Girl Fatal; and appears in No Loose Ends, directed by Rob Bruce and Lavail Duncan. Her acting talent is as real as her music—gritty, emotional, and unforgettable.
With new music on the way—like “Different” and “Pray to God”—and more films on the horizon, Emerald Neki continues to lead with her truth, her talent, and her twin by her side.
